Is your organization at risk of losing its nonprofit status?

Beginning this May, the IRS will begin to automatically revoke the tax-exempt status of nonprofit organizations that have failed to file a 990 annual return for three consecutive years. Close to 25% of federally recognized nonprofit organizations had been previously exempt from filing 990 annual returns because their income did not exceed $25,000.
